Our meals don’t just meet the California Department of Education Guidelines, we elevate our meals with fresh produce from our learning farm just steps away from the back door of Harvest Hall. This image is Chicken Parmesan with Italian vegetables and a barley risotto.
FROM THE LEARNING FARM
This week’s harvest is rainbow chard. This leafy vegetable can be used in soups, salads and great sauteed or roasted. The colors are vibrant and is filled with calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin E.
Welcome to Harvest Hall
Harvest Hall is not your average school cafeteria. The open kitchens allow students to observe our chefs preparing delicious, nutritious meals from scratch every day. It is a feast for all the senses. We offer approachable menus enhanced with textures, flavors and an opportunity to learn about unfamiliar ingredients.
The menu is thoughtfully created, prepared, and executed. All components are scaled to large volume for our WCPA students prepared with proper cooking techniques and the use of fresh ingredients from the Learning Farm. The Learning Farm vegetable, herbs and fruit are planned for harvesting with the intention of the menus created.
