Health and Safety Update

November 12, 2021

We continue to work closely with the Kern County Public Health Department to ensure that we are following the most up-to-date guidance and protocols related to COVID-19. In order to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19, Wonderful College Prep Academy (“WCPA”) requires all employees, temporary workers, and contractors to adhere to Center for Disease Control and California Department of Public Health guidance as listed in the Academy’s Staff COVID-19 Safety Policy when working at WCPA campuses or at other physical locations outside of your home.

Based on this collective guidance, we have implemented additional safety precautions on our campuses.  The WCPA Staff COVID-19 Safety Policy outlines the expectations for all staff and visitors while on any WCPA school sites. Additionally, we will continue implementing a brief wellness screening, including a temperature screening, prior to any person entering either school site.  If you decline to participate in the wellness screening or appear to be COVID-19 symptomatic, you may be asked to return home.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your principal, supervisor, or Human Resources.

The Wonderful Health & Wellness Centers will remain open for all WCPA employees and their immediate family.

Before coming or bringing your child into the wellness center, please call our 24-hour nurse hotline at (661) 720-2660 to discuss your symptoms and schedule an appointment. Our nurse will advise you over the phone whether you should come to the wellness center for care or see another provider.
